SCENE 1: KENN RECEIVES A LETTER
EXT. SUBURBAN HOUSE - STUDENT NEIGHBOURHOOD - NIGHT
An establishing shot outside a house. It looks malignant. Referring to the vibe of the 2021 film "Malignant", directed by James Wan Shot tilts up to show an ominous black sky. Weather-dependent.
We see through the eyes of CAMERA 1 (C1), held by KENN, as he walks up to the front door. Knocks with hand visible. Steps can be heard approaching. C1 swerves around to look around for anything malignant-looking behind him. There’s nothing there, but how does he know for sure? He begins to zoom in on a plastic bagDo you ever feel floating along the street. While still turned around, the door opens and SOMEONE is there to greet them. C1 pans around again to front door.
EVERYONE
He made it!KENN
I made it! I, uh brought this-C1 pans down to a large blue box.
SOMEONE
Why’d you bring the camera?KENN
Well Mariya told me that—MARIYA [O.S]
Kenn! Did you bring the digital or the 35mm?CUT TO:
INT: STUDENT HOME - SAME NIGHT
C1 is either left unattended or KENN is dissociating because it’s being kept static on the
Fireplace Channel 
playing on some TV or laptop for a little too long.
SOMEONE [O.S]
It’s done is all that matters. It’s done! What else can you do?KENN [O.S.]
Yeah exactly. Exams are done, what do I do now?MARIYA [O.S.]
Do you mind if I take a closer look at that camera?KENN [O.S.]
Yeah, just take care of it.C1 is just picked up before CUT.
MARIYA is holding the camera super close to her face. Santa Baby by Michael Bublé is blaring in the background. She zooms in and out before turning it around and panning around the room. CUT.
Random shots of end-of-exams/holiday party. Scenes of people eating and offhand conversations (all up to improvisation):
eg. DURU is wearing a t-shirt that has a wolf on it wearing a Santa hat and is trying to tell KENN a bunch of wolf facts. KENN is trying to be interested but he keeps checking his watch. CUT.
eg 2. MANFOX talks to someone about his new NFTs/cryptid currency as KENN tries to explain how they’re bad. MANFOX keeps talking bringing up Bigfoot coin, clearly confusing it with BitCoin.
NEW COOL SHOT IDEAS:
Someone adds another present to the stack of presents under a Christmas tree just to establish what will happen in just a little bit. CUT.
Through some occasion MARIYA gives C1 back to KENN — it’s made clear that KENN has the C1 again. CUT.

Be careful with this one, it’s a little fragile—MARIYA unwraps the gift with fervor and reveals a camera. This is our first glimpse of CAMERA 2 (C2).
MARIYA
A camera??? Kenn!!! [reads out obscure and overly specific detail about camera with enthusiasm]KENN
You know it. And on top of that— [begins saying other overly specific detail about camera but is cut off].Still through C1– more gift opening scenes. DURU receives a large stick/large piece of garbage from the store from MANFOX. DURU gives something half eaten/hastily made to their SECRET SANTA. Every now and then the camera pans over to MARIYA who is now also filming through C2, waving at C1 and giving thumbs ups every now and then. Maybe a gag about someone being disappointed about a present and pretending to smile directly at one camera, turning around and actually giving off body language that they’re disappointed, but immediately having to smile at the other camera. CUT.
SOMEONE
All right, is that all of them?SOMEONE 2
Did everyone hand out their gifts already?C1 pans over to MARIYA holding C2, who moves her own camera towards the pile of presents. There’s also one gift IN PINK. It’s unmarked save for the word “KENN.” in cutout letters from some magazine.
KENN [O.S., holding C1]
I think it’s for me. Mariya, did you get me a gift too?MARIYA
Nah, I follow the Secret Santa rules… [INSERT NAME], didn’t you say you were getting—INSERT NAME
Mine was the watch remember? Really small box. Did someone get two people?EVERYONE shakes their head. The gift gains more ominous energy.
CUT. POV from KENN’S hands. There’s no festive music in the background this time. Complete silence as KENN unravels the ribbon and works at the packaging. Little babies are used like styrofoam peanuts.
KENN [O.S.]
What the fuck? What the fuck is this—KENN sets the camera down on the floor or something so he can handle the gift with two hands. Make sure he’s fully in frame for all of it.
SOMEONE [O.S.]
Kenn, what is it?KENN
Babies— like little plastic babies— Jesus.MARIYA [O.S.]
Plastic babies?? Isn’t this the— Kenn… You don’t think it’s…………….KENN takes a handful and pours it back into the gift box. He puts the side of the box to his ear and shakes gently, thinking confused before looking really focused. He accidentally knocks the box of babies to the side, spilling babies all across the floor. KENN wades through the babies until he comes across a small card. He begins reading it slowly…
KENN
Drink… down… that… gin… and… kerosene…
(All of this through C1 that KENN set down earlier)-- The lights flicker for unexplainable reasons as he whispers the words. Before he can finish, KENN, still squinting really hard at the card, decides to stand up really quickly to read the rest, before he immediately passes out. EVERYONE is screaming his name over and over as they rush to his seemingly lifeless body. MARIYA can be seen wielding her new camera, looking around frantically for something that caused this before zooming back into KENN’S face. The lights fully go out.
